Some of our niche application builds include developing intelligent systems by feeding off data from IoT based devices to sending data down to custom hardware builds using microcontrollers for that ingenious invention
MiDoS - NHS Directory of Services Mobile App
We worked with intuiti a systems integrator to migrate a legacy ASP classic application to a mobile app for iOS & Android used by Ambulatory services across the UK.
- Analyse the legacy ASP classic app for re-using the entire business logic in C#.
- Xamarin Forms was used for the cross platform development targeted at Android & iOS.
- Back end for the system is cloud based & hosted on Azure.

Waitrose Product App
We've re architected the Waitrose Product app for iPads & Android Zebra handheld devices running across 329 stores on the British isles.
- The Product app was written using Xamarin Forms targeting both iOS & Android.
- A wireless shelf edge ticket printing system was also designed & developed which improved productivity & had logistical benefits
- The back end web API was written in Java spring boot connecting to a SQL Server database
- An Angular based dashboard was developed for managing the label information.
Crowd sourced weather observation website
Shareef Systems was involved in the work on the Met Office's Weather Observation Website wow.metoffice.gov.uk to collect data from across the UK.
- This includes data from both user's & IoT sensor's in people's gardens.
- The front end was built using ASP.NET MVC & Javascript JQuery.
- The back end system was hosted on Azure & involved Azure Queue's, Service Bus, Web API's hosted on Azure App Services with caching using Redis.
- The data was stored in Azure Table Storage, SQL Azure & Elasticsearch.
Price Matching System
We worked with TkMaxx to modernise their price matching system used by staff across 400 stores in Europe which provided saving's of up to £183 million annually.
- Provide the re architecture for a legacy system built using ASP.NET Web API's.
- Development involved creating windows services for synchronous data transfer
- App development was done in Xamarin Forms for deployment to handheld devices across stores.
- The back end connected to secure web API's via Google Apigee
- The main datastore was an Oracle data warehouse.
